In a new initiative by the National Guard to design and manufacture unmanned aerial systems, the National Guard General Staff issued a statement regarding the visit by the Force Commander, Lieutenant General Emmanouil Theodorou, to the newly established Small Unmanned Aerial Systems (sUAV/FPV) Production Laboratory at the 12th Engineer Battalion (TC).
According to the announcement, the Commander of the National Guard, Lieutenant General Emmanouil Theodorou, visited the newly established Small Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (sUAV/FPV) Production Laboratory at the 12th TX Battalion, where he was briefed on issues related to the design, development, and production of unmanned systems by the National Guard, as well as the prospects for their further development and operational utilization.
“This capability marks a significant step in the technological and operational transformation of the National Guard, enhancing its autonomy, flexibility, and speed of adaptation to the demands of the modern battlefield,” the statement reads.
It should be noted that the Laboratory’s operations are part of a broader plan for a modern, technologically advanced, and operationally flexible National Guard, which invests in innovation and the development of domestic expertise.
