A malfunction was detected in a section of the sewer system along the Protaras coastline, leading to the precautionary closure of the beach, while crews from the Famagusta Environmental Authority (EOA) are working to repair the damage immediately.
Speaking to AlphaNewsLive, a representative of the EOA noted that the EOA has been on site since the early morning hours and is working to repair the damage.
