The unstable air mass affecting the region will begin to subside on Thursday.
Today, the weather will initially be mostly clear; however, around noon and in the early afternoon, there will be increased cloud cover in some areas, which is expected to bring local showers and isolated thunderstorms, mainly in the mountains and inland areas. Hail is also possible during thunderstorms. Winds will initially be variable and light, at 3 Beaufort, before gradually shifting to mainly southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, and in the afternoon along the windward coasts or during thunderstorms, strong, 5 Beaufort. The sea will be somewhat rough. Temperatures will rise to around 34 degrees inland, around 30 on the western and southwestern coasts, around 32 degrees along the rest of the coast, and around 25 degrees in the higher mountainous areas.
Tonight, the weather will be mostly clear, but the western half of the island will see locally increased cloud cover. Winds will be mainly westerly to northwesterly, light and initially locally up to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be slightly choppy. Temperatures will drop to around 22 degrees inland, around 23 degrees along the coast, and 16 degrees in the higher mountainous areas.
On Wednesday, the weather will be mostly clear, but clouds developing at midday and in the afternoon are expected to bring isolated showers or thunderstorms in the mountains and inland.
On Thursday and Friday, the weather will be mostly clear.
Temperatures on Wednesday are not expected to change significantly, but by Friday they will rise noticeably, reaching levels above the seasonal average.
