A seasonal low-pressure system is currently affecting the region, and on Saturday, a disturbance from the north is expected to affect the island.
Tonight, the weather will remain mostly clear, though at times—and especially along the coast—there will be increased low cloud cover. Later, during the early morning hours, patchy fog is expected to form locally, mainly in areas to the south, east, and inland. Winds will be mainly southwesterly to northwesterly, initially light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, and gradually becoming light, 3 Beaufort. The sea will be calm to slightly choppy. Temperatures will drop to around 21 degrees inland, around 23 degrees along the coast, and around 20 degrees in the higher mountainous areas.
Tomorrow, after the local low cloud cover and light fog or mist clear, the weather in most areas will be generally clear with temporary increases in local cloud cover; however, after noon in the mountains and possibly in some inland areas, developing clouds are expected to bring isolated showers and isolated thunderstorms. Winds in the morning will be variable and light, at 3 Beaufort, gradually becoming mainly southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, and temporarily on the windward coasts in the afternoon, reaching strong winds of 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be generally calm to slightly rough in the morning, but in the afternoon it will be slightly rough locally along the windward coasts. Temperatures will reach around 39 degrees inland, around 32 degrees on the western and southwestern coasts, around 34 degrees along the rest of the coast, and around 30 degrees in the higher mountainous areas.
Tomorrow night, there will be increased local cloud cover, while later in the day, isolated showers are likely in the north and east. Winds will be mainly southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, gradually becoming light, 3 Beaufort. The sea will be generally slightly rough.
On Saturday, the weather will be mostly cloudy, with rain and local thunderstorms expected. The thunderstorms are expected to be accompanied by hail and gusty winds. These conditions are expected to be intense or even prolonged in some areas.
On Sunday, the weather will initially be mostly clear, but gradually, increased cloud cover will develop locally, which after noon is expected to bring isolated showers or even thunderstorms, mainly in the mountains and in areas south of the Troodos Mountains. On Monday, there will be intermittent increased cloud cover in some areas, while isolated showers cannot be ruled out in the mountains after noon.
Temperatures on Saturday will drop significantly and fall below seasonal averages. On Sunday, temperatures will rise slightly, remaining at the same levels on Monday, but will continue to hover below the seasonal average.
