There has been a positive development in the health of the 46-year-old woman, who is hospitalized after being shot by her police officer husband on June 30 in Limassol, before he took his own life.

According to reports, the 46-year-old has now regained the ability to communicate with her loved ones. In fact, in the last few hours, she has reportedly received visits from relatives and friends, with whom she was able to speak.

Despite this positive development, her condition remains serious. The same reports indicate that her recovery is expected to be a long process, and it cannot be ruled out that she may need to undergo additional surgeries.

Meanwhile, the investigating authorities are continuing their inquiries into the case. The 46-year-old’s testimony is considered crucial to the investigation; however, it will be taken only when her attending physicians determine that her health permits it.

The woman remains hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit of Nicosia General Hospital.
