The two defendants, a 33-year-old Norwegian and a 35-year-old Irishman, in connection with an attempted murder case.
Six other individuals—one Norwegian and five Swedes—were also arrested in connection with the same case but have since been deported to their home countries.
Regarding the immediate filing of the case before the Famagusta District Court for the two individuals arrested on charges of attempted murder, the Court referred the case to the Famagusta Permanent Criminal Court, with the first hearing scheduled for November 18.

The two defendants face charges including conspiracy to commit murder, conspiracy to commit a felony, and participation in a criminal organization.
They were arrested in late August in cooperation with a Danish police task force, after information was received through Europol regarding planned murders in Cyprus for a fee.

The coordinated investigation and evaluation of information and evidence led to the issuance of arrest warrants and an operation in the districts of Larnaca and Famagusta, during which three suspects were arrested. Five arrests were also made in connection with the same case in the Paphos district.
