The Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development, and the Environment announces that today, Monday, July 13, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., a fire broke out within the administrative boundaries of the Municipality of Paralimni.

Thanks to the immediate response of the forest firefighting forces, the fire was brought under complete control before it could spread.

Two members of the Forestry Department with one fire truck and three members of the Fire Department with one fire truck participated in the firefighting operation.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
