Fuel prices—for diesel, gasoline, and heating oil, heading toward a new all-time high—a record that heating oil has already set. At the same time, fuel prices are rising in the occupied territories as well.
Speaking on the Alpha News program, Marios Drousiotis, President of the Consumers’ Association, noted that the most expensive gas station in all of Cyprus is in Limassol, not in Paphos as is often claimed. Today, the highest price for diesel fuel is €2.076, with the average price reaching €1.963.

The highest fuel prices were recorded on July 12, 2022, when the price of gasoline was 1,828, diesel at 1.989, and heating oil at 1.515. Today, heating oil has reached €1.575, exceeding the highest recorded price by 6 cents.

Fuel prices in the occupied territories have also risen, showing an increase of approximately 16 cents compared to August 25, 2026.
Mr. Drousiotis is calling on the government to intervene to lower fuel prices and ease the burden on consumers.
