TechIsland®, the largest association of technology companies, announces the appointment of George Metzakis, CEO of Cyta, to its Board of Directors.
George Metzakis assumed the role of CEO of Cyta in May 2026. He joined the organization in 2023 as Senior Director of Commercial Management, responsible for Cyta’s overall commercial strategy. Since September 2025, he has served as Co-Deputy CEO, contributing to the organization’s operational continuity.
He has many years of experience in the telecommunications sector, both in Cyprus and abroad, having held leadership positions in key areas such as marketing strategy, sales, revenue growth, and customer experience management. At Cyta, he has helped drive digital transformation and further strengthen the organization’s customer-centric approach, by spearheading initiatives that leverage technology to advance services, continuously improving the customer experience, and strengthening the Organization’s connection with society and its contemporary needs.
