The Cabinet approved the proposal by the Ministry of Energy, Trade, and Industry to establish a Trade Center of the Republic of Cyprus in Mumbai, India, according to a post by Minister Michalis Damianou.
The Center will operate in conjunction with the existing Trade Center in New Delhi, strengthening Cyprus’s presence in one of India’s most important economic and financial centers, as Mr. Damianou notes
“Its primary mission will be to promote Cypriot products and services, boost exports, develop business partnerships, and attract investment from India to Cyprus.”
As noted, the decision implements a related announcement made by the President of the Republic during his state visit to India in May 2026 and further strengthens the economic and commercial dimension of the Cyprus–India Strategic Partnership.
