Annual inflation in Cyprus rose to 4.1% in June 2026, based on the Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices, according to data published Friday by Eurostat.
According to Eurostat, inflation in Cyprus rose from 3.5% in May to 4.1% in June. On a monthly basis, inflation in Cyprus stood at 0.9% in June.
The data show that annual inflation in Cyprus stood at 1.2% in January 2026, 0.9% in February, 1.5% in March, 3.0% in April, 3.5% in May, and 4.1% in June.
At the European Union level, annual inflation stood at 2.9% in June 2026, down from 3.3% in May. A year earlier, in June 2025, the rate was 2.3%.
In the eurozone, annual inflation stood at 2.8% in June, down from 3.2% in May. In June 2025, inflation in the eurozone was 2.0%.
According to Eurostat, the lowest annual inflation rates were recorded in Sweden at 1.0%, the Czech Republic at 1.1%, and Denmark at 1.8%.
The highest annual rates were recorded in Romania at 9.2%, in Lithuania at 5.4%, and in Bulgaria at 5.2%.
Compared with May 2026, annual inflation fell in 22 Member States, remained stable in three, and rose in two.
Meanwhile, in June 2026, services made the largest positive contribution to annual inflation in the euro area, at 1.51 percentage points.
This was followed by energy, at 0.77 percentage points, food, alcohol, and tobacco, at 0.29 percentage points; and non-energy industrial goods, at 0.18 percentage points.
