The euro lost 5% of its value in a week, which inevitably affects prices in our country as well.
Currently, the euro has fallen to 1.12, having dropped to 1.11 against the dollar this morning, making dollar-denominated imports 5% more expensive compared to last week. This mainly affects fuel, but also other products priced primarily in dollars.
The reasons behind this include the energy crisis as well as the turmoil in Europe caused by French bonds, which currently have yields above 5% (for the 10-year bond).
