There are some phrases that need no explanation; we hear them from children, at home, in a hug, just before hanging up the phone, or in those little everyday moments that seem insignificant at the time but, years later, become our most precious memories. In Cyprus, one of these phrases is “I love you.” Two simple, familiar, almost self-evident words, yet loaded with everything we often struggle to say.

It was a phrase that carried her grandmother’s voice, a family story, and the memory of a love that lasted until the very end. The story begins with her grandfather, who passed away at the age of 97, and her grandmother, who, when speaking of him, would repeat a phrase that would come to take on a completely different meaning: “I love you, my darling.” These three words ultimately became the name, the identity, and the entire philosophy of her brand.
