The news of the death of Dimitris Kokotas, at the age of 57, has deeply moved the artistic community and those who knew him throughout his long career in Greek music.
The singer passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, following a serious health crisis that began in March 2024, when he suffered a cardiac arrest during rehearsals for J2US, in which he was participating.

He remained hospitalized for more than two years, with his family and loved ones constantly by his side. His battle was long and difficult, but in the end, he was unable to return to the life he loved so much.
