The spotlight may be on the spectacular looks on the red carpet and the stars’ arrivals via the iconic water taxis, but the true heart of the Venice Film Festival always lies within the darkened theaters.
The 83rd Mostra officially kicked off on September 2, and until the 12th of the month, the Lido once again becomes the meeting place for some of the most important directors and actors in international andcinema, and while this year’s event may not be focusing as much on major studio blockbusters, that doesn’t mean the big names are missing—quite the opposite.
