Until the early hours of the morning, large crowds continued to gather at the Holy Trinity Church in Nikaia, where a public vigil was held for Giorgos Mazonakis.
Starting in the afternoon of Sunday, September 13, crowds of people arrived at the church to pay their respects to the beloved artist. Among those present were friends, colleagues, and people from the arts community who had been connected to him over the years.
Quite a few chose to visit the church later that night, when the presence of television crews and photographers had subsided, thus choosing to bid farewell to the singer in a more private setting.
