Loris Loizidis: Everything he revealed about his new children’s play “Jack and the Beanstalk”
The inventive fusion of live theater and animation transforms the beloved fairy tale "Jack and the Beanstalk" into a theatrical adventure full of color, movement, and surprises. The actors interact with the moving images, creating the sensation that the real and imaginary worlds are communicating right before the audience’s eyes.
The animation becomes an integral part of the narrative: it responds to the actors’ movements, brings their environment to life, and plays a role in the story’s development. Every intersection of on-stage action with the visuals opens up a new opportunity for play, humor, and surprise, inviting children to follow Jack into a world where even the tiniest seed can hide an unexpected adventure.
Through this theatrical language, the familiar fairy tale takes on new life, while retaining at its core the power of imagination and the courage to face the unknown. Jack’s curiosity, his choices, and his confrontation with a world larger than himself serve as the basis for a story about courage, responsibility, and faith in our own potential.
The production, directed and adapted by Loris Loizidis, is a beautiful theatrical journey filled with imagination, music, humor, and love, with many messages for young and old alike.
“Jack and the Beanstalk” invites the whole family to an experience where theatrical performance and moving images tell the story together—and magic is born from their union.
