Four years ago, at a concert at the Katrakio Theater in Nikaia, Giorgos Mazonakis shared a special moment with his mother, Kleio, where she danced the zeibekiko in front of her son’s fans.
It was September 2022, and that particular evening held special significance for the singer, who passed away on Wednesday, September 9, as his parents were among the audience, and he had been searching for them with his eyes from the very beginning of the concert. During his performance, while singing “Ores Mikres,” he paused the musicians for a moment and addressed his father, asking him to bring his mother up on stage.
