Tassos Tryfonos made a particularly emotional confession about Giorgos Mazonakis while speaking on the morning of Saturday, September 26, on the show “Kalimera Epame?”.”
The well-known host and journalist recalled the meeting he had with the beloved singer, to whom he had granted his final interview, about two months before his death.

As he revealed, this particular interview wasn’t something that had been planned well in advance. Instead, the conversation came about unexpectedly, with Giorgos Mazonakis insisting that it take place immediately.
“It was a big surprise when the phone rang… I was trying to convince him—since I had already wrapped up the season—to do the interview in September, October… And he told me, ‘No, Tasos, I want you to come now, to say it now, to talk about everything.’ It was July 7 when I went to his house; he was in a great mood, joking around, but he had music playing.
