A rare television clip from 1994 brings back into the spotlight a Giorgos Mazonakis whom very few remember. Young, spontaneous, and still at the beginning of a journey that would go on to transform the landscape of modern Greek folk music.
The video, which resurfaced on social media after his death, captures the singer’s first television interview with journalist Rika Vagianni on the show “Superstar.”
