She died at the age of 85, after a long hospital stay, actress Jenny Zacharopoulou, who had left her mark on the golden age of Greek cinema with remarkable roles.
Jenny Zacharopoulou was born in Lefkada in 1941. She graduated from the Katseli School of Acting and then toured with Dimitris Rontiris for three years all over the world, performing a classical repertoire. Shortly thereafter, her collaboration with Aliki Vougiouklaki and Dimitris Papamichail brought her to the attention of the general public. She went on to work with many great comedians.
She also starred in landmark Greek television series such as “Yougerman,” “Pantheoi,” “Our Neighborhood,” and “The Guards of Achaea.”
