Actor Michalis Mosios, who became known to the general public for his role as “Tamtakou,” leaving his own mark on Greek theater and cinema.
The news of his death was announced by his son in a touching social media post, in which he bids him farewell with words full of love and gratitude.
Here is his post in full:
“I can’t believe I’m writing this… but with immense pain, I must announce that my dad, Michalis Mosios, has sadly passed away…
My worst nightmare has come true.
You were the most honest person I’ve ever known, and I thank you for passing on your sensitivity and your integrity to me, and for teaching me to be honest and dignified.
You went to be with your brother Stathis, with whom you shared so much, even before you both launched your careers.
The only time I ever saw you cry like a little child was when he left.
Now it’s our turn to cry for you.
The only thing that brings me comfort (as much as possible) is that you left this world whole, fulfilled.
A poor orphaned child who managed to bring laughter to others and be loved by the world.
I’ll close with a line from a song I wrote, about my fear of losing my dad:
“I don’t know how I’ll bear
it If I lose you, Dad
I’ll leave my keys outside
Just in case you come back in.
Goodbye, my father.”
