Our story begins with the love between two young people full of dreams for their life together. Marina and Nikos meet, fall madly in love, and get married. Nikos may be poor, but he’s hardworking and determined to succeed. He’s a skipper and dreams of one day owning his own boat to run tours. He comes from a beautiful island, but he never visits it because he has bad memories there. He feels happy and blessed to have managed to start his own family. His life will be tragically cut short, and Marina, faced with this immense loss, will be called upon to raise their two children without any help.
