New details are coming to light regarding the case of Stavros Floros’s serious injury during the filming of “Survivor,” as excerpts from the lawsuit filed by the 22-year-old are being made public; he is seeking more than $100 million in damages from the production company.

In the multi-page legal document, the former contestant presents his own account of the events leading up to and following the accident that occurred on May 11, 2026, in Santo Domingo. At the same time, the filing includes serious allegations regarding safety measures, the treatment of his injury, and the way in which, he claims, the defendants handled the case.

The incident occurred while Stavros Floros was spearfishing in the sea with Manos Malliaros. According to the complaint, a tourist boat passed by the area and the 22-year-old was injured by its propeller. The impact resulted in the amputation of his left leg, and he also sustained serious injuries to his right leg.

His condition required a long hospital stay and a series of surgeries. In total, according to reports, he remained in a hospital in the United States for 61 days before returning to Greece, where he had to adjust to a new reality following his serious injury.

About four months after the accident, the former player filed a lawsuit, seeking monetary damages exceeding $100 million. In the complaint, excerpts of which were featured on the program “Reportage Now,” describes the conditions under which the water activities took place, as well as his allegations regarding the handling of the situation following the accident.

One of the most notable points concerns Manos Malliaros. As Stavros Floros claims, there was an attempt to use a document bearing the fitness trainer’s signature that would present “Survivor” as having been completed before his injury. According to the lawsuit, such a development could have limited the liability that would be attributed to the production company for the incident.

The same court document states that Manos Malliaros ultimately refused to sign the document in question. This specific reference constitutes one of the most significant claims in the complaint, as it relates to the manner in which, according to Floros’s side, an attempt was made to shape the legal framework of the case.

At the same time, the complaint also mentions communications between the production team and cast members that took place without the presence or mediation of their attorneys. The 22-year-old’s side argues that this was an attempt to influence the prevailing narrative regarding the accident.

Furthermore, the lawsuit alleges that certain information and videos were not made public which, according to him, could have contributed to a more complete account of the actual circumstances under which the incident occurred.

Also significant are the references on page 39 of the court document regarding the players’ maritime activities. Stavros Floros argues that adequate measures were not taken to ensure that the fishing took place under conditions that would safeguard the participants.

Among other things, it is noted that the players did not have high-visibility vests, which, according to his claim, would have made them more easily visible at sea and reduced the risk of accidents.

At the same time, the complaint alleges that the production company was aware that the maritime area where the fishing took place had heavy traffic from commercial ships and other vessels.

Page 28 of the complaint also describes a visit by a production company executive to the hospital where Stavros Floros was being treated. According to his own account, the visit concerned three different matters.

The first concerned an update on his health condition. The second related to issues regarding his public appearances and professional obligations, while the third, as stated in the lawsuit, concerned legal discussions and the possibility of either reaching a settlement or proceeding with a lawsuit.

These, however, are allegations included in Stavros Floros’s lawsuit and will be the subject of the legal proceedings.
