The orchestra “TRAKART,” featuring soloists Rita Antonopoulou and Yiannis Dionysiou, with the participation of the “Dimension” Vocal Ensemble.

The concerts, titled  “In the Light of Marios Tokas,” will take place on August 28 at the Cultural Stage of the Tamassos Metropolis and on August 29 at the Limassol Garden Theater.

The great hits beloved by generations of Greeks will be performed with a fresh, contemporary perspective. The new arrangements are by Neoklis Neofytidis and conductor Aris Antoniadis, who will lead the large TrakArt Orchestra.

Rita Antonopoulou and Yannis Dionysiou, two of the most important voices in contemporary Greek music, together with the dynamic presence of “Diastasi,” promise to convey the passion and sensitivity that characterized Marios Tokas, creating an atmosphere filled with emotion and Cypriot light.

The event is organized by the “Marios Tokas Foundation 1954–2008” and is held under the auspices of the President of the Republic, Mr. Nikos Christodoulides.

The Marios Tokas Foundation, which is run by his family, has decided to shed light on the great composer’s legacy by revealing well-known and significant aspects of his musical work.
