Eleni Hatzidou and her co-hosts commented today (May 12) on the “Breakfast@star” show regarding the serious injury sustained by a Survivor contestant.
Having previously participated as a contestant on the reality TV show, she made a revelation regarding the conditions the production imposes on contestants, surprising her colleagues.
“Since I was on Survivor, it seems very strange to me that there could be anything else. We were on an island all by ourselves, cut off from the world. We went there by helicopter.
We landed in the middle of nowhere; there was no one else who could have gotten there, and there was no way for anyone to swim out to the island. It was just the production crew, so I don’t know how this could have happened or how far the contestant might have gone.
On Survivor, you sign a waiver stating that if anything happens to your physical well-being—even if you die for some reason—the production company bears no responsibility, let alone the network.”
