An alarm went off at Attikon Hospital on Wednesday night, when an elderly man attempted to enter Maros Kontou’s room carrying a flowerpot and a box containing a knife, but was arrested.

The 90-year-old man went to the hospital entrance, holding a flowerpot and a box. He told the hospital security guard that he was a relative of Maros Kontou and that he wanted to visit her in her room.

The security guard sensed that something was wrong, became suspicious, and searched him. Upon opening the box, he discovered that it contained a knife. He immediately contacted the Greek Police, whose officers rushed to the scene and arrested the elderly man.
