Antonis Remos capped off the celebration in Cyprus marking the 30th anniversary of his artistic career in Greece with a spectacular concert that transformed the Davila Moat, in the heart of Nicosia, into a vast musical embrace.
Following the record-breaking turnout at his concert in Thessaloniki, Antonis Remos was also hailed as a hero in Cyprus. Thousands of spectators flooded Davila Moat and the surrounding areas, in an impressive show of support from the Cypriot audience. The concert extended beyond the boundaries of Davila Moat, as crowds also watched from Konstantinou Paleologou Street and Eleftherias Square via a live broadcast on a giant LED screen.
A large-scale production, befitting a 30-year musical journey filled with major hits, significant collaborations, and songs beloved by audiences in Greece, Cyprus, and abroad, featuring special musical collaborations and a spectacular audiovisual show.
For more than three hours, Antonis Remos unfolded on stage the most significant milestones of his career, which have marked three decades of a rare musical journey.
He was joined on stage by beloved artists. Natasha Theodoridou, Despina Vandi, Christos Mastoras, and Elena Paparizou enchanted the audience with special musical collaborations.
Giorgos Theofanous also held a special place in the concert, performing songs that have marked his long-standing musical collaboration with Antonis Remos.
The evening also included musical tributes to the work of Antonis Vardis and to great composers such as Mimis Plessas, Yannis Spanos, and Mikis Theodorakis. Special mention was also made of the great performers with whom Antonis Remos has collaborated musically throughout his career, such as Kostas Hatzis, Dimitris Mitropanos, Vasilis Karras, and Marinella, in a particularly moving musical climax.
A special moment for the Cypriot audience was his performance of the beloved song dedicated to Cyprus, “Chrysoprasino Fyllo.”
Antonis Remos was accompanied by a large orchestra under the direction of Nikos Zervas and Yiannis Diskos, in a high-caliber production featuring top Greek and international artists, as well as DJ Antonis Dimitriadis.
The concert raised funds for the Cyprus Red Cross, bringing in tens of thousands of euros, with the contribution of the Corporate Social Responsibility program “SYMMETOCHI” by Christos Charalambides, who launched his partnership with the Cyprus Red Cross through the initiative “Together, Standing by Those in Need.”
