Nearly 30 years after the premiere of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” Sarah Michelle Gellar and David Boreanaz treated fans to a reunion they’d been waiting for for years. Except that Buffy and Angel’s return to the same stage didn’t go exactly as one might have expected.

The two actors took the stage together at the 2026 Emmys to present the award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or TV Movie, and their chemistry showed that while time may have passed, but something from their television past remains unchanged.
