A few months after the conclusion of the trial in the “revenge porn” case, the well-known Greek influencer Ioanna Tounis chose to speak publicly about everything she felt following the court’s decision, as well as the people who stood by her during one of the most difficult periods of her life.

In a video she posted on her personal TikTok account, she revealed that, although the court’s decision was a significant vindication, she was unable to enjoy it as she had expected.

As she confessed, she experienced intense emotions and spent days in tears, as the psychological strain of all those years had taken its toll.

“I opened my phone to record this video now that I know some of the most despicable shows on Greek TV have been canceled for the summer, so certain people I really don’t want to comment on won’t be commenting on me. I’d like to give an update on the trial, which ended a little over three months ago. I think of it as both so close to me and so far away. It’s something I’ve poured so much energy into, and I felt all winter long that it had sucked the life out of me.”

She mentioned that she had been waiting to speak publicly at this specific time because, as she explained, many TV shows that had covered the case are not on the air during the summer.

Her statement focused on the people who had actively supported her throughout the legal proceedings. Ioanna Tounis wanted to thank those who testified on her behalf and stood by her side, with a special mention of Dimitris Fintirikos.

As she explained, the businessman was one of the people who helped her significantly, as he traveled from Athens to Thessaloniki to testify in court, even though he had no personal obligation to her.

In addition, she emphasized that what surprised her most was the fact that a man who was not a close friend of hers, had no personal stake in the case and didn’t even live in the same city, chose to be there and share what he knew.

She described his actions as an act that demonstrated humanity and a sincere willingness to help bring the truth to light.

“I also want to publicly thank Dimitris Fintirikos, who lives in another city and came all the way from Athens—twice, in fact—to testify in court on my behalf because he just happened to be an eyewitnessat the beach bar where it all started, and then when it was over, he knew who the person behind it all was.

And honestly, I didn’t expect it, and it surprised me so much—in such a positive way—that a person who isn’t your friend, who has nothing to gain from you, and who doesn’t even live in your city would come to testify and tell the truth.”

Prompted by Ioanna Tounis’s words, Dimitris Fintirikos decided for the first time to speak openly both about his role in this particular case and about what he himself has been going through all this time.

The businessman stated that his presence at the trial was a self-evident moral obligation, since, as he put it, all he did was describe what he actually knew and stand up for the truth.

At the same time, he expressed his satisfaction with the court’s vindication of Ioanna Tounis, while emphasizing, however, that the case is not yet over, as the appeal is still pending.

Dimitris Fintirikos also referred to the period during which he had been the target of intense criticism and accusations on social media.

As he stated, he chose to remain silent until the courts had reached a decision, as he did not want to respond through public debates.

Speaking about Ioanna Tounis, she mentioned that she has known her for years and has always considered her a strong and determined person. As she said, behind the image presented on social media lies a woman who has worked hard and achieved a great deal on her own.

“If I’m not mistaken, we met in 2012 at a shop where she was working at the time in Thessaloniki, and I was there as a customer. I always found her very likable; she was cheerful and full of positive energy, and she always worked hard. A true fighter in life. Beyond the image she sometimes projects on social media—which can sometimes create the wrong impression—she’s a woman I admire because she’s a self-made woman and nothing has been handed to her on a silver platter along the way.”

Finally, the businessman also spoke about the personal toll that this particular period took on him. As he noted, the publicity and the accusations he faced left deep scars on him and his family, as he felt that his character and reputation had been publicly tarnished.
