The 7-year-old girl from Moldova who was seriously injured in the deadly car accident in Chalkidiki remains in critical condition in the ICU, in which her parents and her six-month-old sister lost their lives.
Meanwhile, the municipal authorities of Strășeni, Moldova, have described the incident as an “unspeakable tragedy” and is appealing to citizens for financial support for the family, while at the same time relatives and friends are asking for money to cover the costs of repatriating the victims.
“Every lei counts. Every kind thought, every share of this message, is a real source of support during these extremely difficult times,” the Strasseni municipal authority states in its announcement.

The little girl, the sole survivor of the family, is being treated on a ventilator in the Intensive Care Unit of the Hippocrates Hospital in Thessaloniki, fighting for her life.
The little girl has suffered injuries to her head, face, and chest, and is fighting to stay alive. It is recalled that the accident occurred on the Poligiros–Agios Nikolaos provincial road when the family’s car collided with a tanker truck and veered off the road.
It should be noted that the 44-year-old driver of the tanker truck, who was involved in the traffic accident in Chalkidiki, was released following an order from the prosecutor.
