A serious incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning (September 6) in a village in Mesara, Crete, reportedly triggered—according to information from Cretalive so far—by offensive messages exchanged between minors.
According to reports from the local media outlet, three young men—two 17-year-olds and one 25-year-old—allegedly attacked the parents of a minor girl who was the subject of the messages in question.

The incident occurred during a chance encounter between the two parties, when the husband and wife, who were in their car, came face-to-face with the three young men and a confrontation quickly ensued. The altercation, however, did not remain merely verbal, as it is alleged that the youths attacked the couple with punches and even kicks, while they are also said to have caused damage to the vehicle.
According to the same reports, both the 40-year-old father and the 36-year-old mother were taken to the hospital to receive first aid.
The Archanes-Asterousia Police Department is investigating the case, and efforts are underway to locate and arrest the three suspects.
