Elina Shiraz, the Daily Mail reporter who asked the White House press secretary to announce Trump’s decision to remove Ms. Gilfoyle.

According to Shiraz’s report, in the days leading up to her dismissal, Kimberly Gilfoyle desperately tried to remove the Daily Mail’s articles about her lavish lifestyle from the internet.

According to the report, Kimberly Guilfoyle, ahead of Marco Rubio’s visit to our country, reportedly asked State Department officials if they could ask the Daily Mail to remove an exclusive article describing an unpaid restaurant bill.

In response to her request to have the article removed, State Department officials asked her to provide proof that she had paid the bill out of her own pocket.

However, according to sources familiar with the details of the communication, the bill was ultimately sent directly to the U.S. Embassy, which explains why Gilfoyle was unable to provide the Daily Mail with proof of payment.

As Shiraz notes, five sources confirmed to the Daily Mail that the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) of the State Department is continuing its official investigation into Ms. Gilfoyle and the operations of the U.S. Embassy during her tenure.

Three of these sources also revealed that the Inspector General is investigating allegations of possible misconduct, unauthorized travel by private aircraft and helicopters, improper acceptance of gifts, as well as an excessively close relationship with a company operating in the energy and construction sectors.

A source familiar with the Inspector General’s investigation stated that Gilfoil did “the exact opposite” of what a public official should do.

The Daily Mail, Shiraz notes, had also revealed, in an exclusive report, that wealthy Greek businessmen were asked to contribute $250,000 to pay off her luxury car, a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon.
