Greek Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis made pointed remarks about the private clinic where Giorgos Mazonakis suffered a cardiac arrest and died, in a post he shared.
Mr. Georgiadis refers to it as a “so-called clinic” and points out that it was licensed only as a general medical practice, where “such a medical procedure is not permitted” such as the plasmapheresis that the unfortunate singer was scheduled to undergo.

The Greek Minister of Health also reveals that an investigation has already been launched by the president of the Athens Medical Association (ISA) into the exact circumstances under which Mazonakis suffered a cardiac arrest. “Of course, the exact causes of his death will be determined by the medical-legal investigation, as well as whether anyone is at fault and, if so, who,” he emphasized. Finally, he urges patients to be cautious about what they read online and not to risk their health under questionable circumstances.
