Charges of incitement to commit crimes, acts of violence, or sedition; criminal organization — formation of a gang, threats to commit crimes, and violation of the law regarding public incitement to racially motivated violence—has been filed against six individuals whose identities have been confirmed
According to a statement from the Thessaloniki General Police Directorate, “police officers from the Sub-Directorate for Combating Racist and Extremist Violence of the Thessaloniki Directorate of Crime Investigation and Prosecution, following a thorough investigation and as part ofa preliminary investigation ordered by the Thessaloniki Court of First Instance, proceeded to identify individuals involved in racially motivated crimes
These include six Greek nationals—specifically, five men aged 32, 32, 25, 34, and 21, and one 46-year-old woman, who, on the evening of June 27, staged a racially motivated march in the city center, and subsequently posted related content (text, photographs, and video footage) on various social media platforms.
The case file has been compiled and will be submitted to the Thessaloniki Public Prosecutor’s Office for First Instance.
