Greek Media: A 49-year-old member of the “Entik” criminal organization has been arrested

Allegations and evidence regarding a series of attacks and extortion incidents

Another member of the Russian-speaking mafia was arrested yesterday afternoon in Palaio Faliro, on the border with Kallithea, according to police sources.

The man is 49 years old and has had an arrest warrant outstanding against him since 2025 from the Extortion Division. The man is believed to have been a member of the operational cell of the Entik criminal organization, which, according to authorities, was involved in extorting businesspeople and carrying out violent attacks on individuals with whom the gang had disputes.

Authorities had information that the 49-year-old had fled abroad, but he recently returned to Greece. Following a coordinated police operation, he was located and arrested.

Another individual was arrested along with him, who had already come to the attention of the authorities in connection with the same case. According to police sources, he is a member of the criminal organization that was dismantled in August 2025, as part of a major operation that uncovered the activities of a ring allegedly involved in cigarette smuggling, extortion, and assaults.

The second individual had been released in March 2026 under restrictive conditions. However, he was found traveling in the same vehicle as the 49-year-old, who was wanted on an arrest warrant. Consequently, he was re-arrested, this time for harboring a fugitive.

The two suspects are being held at the Attica General Police Directorate.

“Pitbull” and “Bulldog”

Police sources describe the two men as particularly violent members of the organization. In fact, according to the same sources, the other members of the gang called them “Pitbull” and “bulldogs” because of the ferocity they allegedly displayed during attacks on rivals, as well as in the extortion of business owners.

The two are alleged to have been part of the organization’s second operational unit, which focused primarily on extorting and beating well-known Greek businesspeople.

According to the authorities, the voluminous case file includes complaints and evidence regarding a series of attacks and extortions.

In fact, following the murder of Yiannis Skaftouros in Boeotia, the two are alleged to have extorted a well-known Greek businessman, obtaining, according to police sources, approximately 1 million euros.

The 49-year-old and the “enforcer”

The arrest of the 49-year-old follows recent developments in the case involving the criminal organization. Another member has already been arrested in Germany; he is alleged to be part of the gang’s “enforcer” unit and to be linked to murders.

This individual is expected to be extradited to Greece, where he will face the charges outlined in the case file.

Unlike the 49-year-old, who was arrested in Palaio Faliro and is alleged to have played a role in extortion and beatings, the man arrested in Germany is alleged to have been a member of the organization’s operational wing, which, according to authorities, is linked to the murders.
