A large cannabis plantation was discovered by police officers from the Kalamata Sub-Directorate for Crime Prevention and Investigation in a mountainous and remote area outside Eleftherochori in the Municipality of Lamia.
According to LamiaReport, in a remote location inaccessible to hikers—and thus hidden from prying eyes— over 4,000 cannabis seedlings of various heights were discovered.
During the operation, three Albanian nationals were arrested as those responsible for the cultivation and have been taken to the Kameni Vourla Police Station.
The operation in Kallidromos began very early in the morning, and police officers continued uprooting the plants for destruction until late in the afternoon.
The three arrested individuals were brought before the investigating judge at the Lamia courthouse on Saturday morning (July 11), where they were given a deadline to enter a plea on Tuesday morning (July 14).
