Police in Volos are investigating a serious case of sexual abuse of a minor, following a complaint made by a 9-year-old girl to her parents.
The case came to light on Thursday afternoon, when the girl confided in her family about what she had allegedly experienced, prompting an immediate response from the authorities.

Her father initially took the child to a regional health center and then to the “Achillopouleio” General Hospital in Volos, where doctors notified the relevant authorities. The Volos Public Prosecutor’s Office and the police were immediately notified so that an investigation into the complaint could begin.
According to reports, police authorities arrested an individual who was allegedly identified as a suspect in the case, while they continue their investigation to determine exactly what happened and gather all the necessary evidence.
The details of the complaint remain under investigation, with the police examining every aspect of the case and taking statements as part of the preliminary inquiry.
The 9-year-old remained at the hospital in Volos, where she was monitored by specialists, including a psychologist, to provide her with psychological support following the traumatic experience she allegedly endured.
