An accident in which a 54-year-old worker was crushed by a shipping container occurred on Tuesday morning at the port of Thessaloniki.

The incident took place around 8:30 a.m., with nine firefighters arriving at the scene in three vehicles to carry out a rescue operation.

Thanks to the firefighters’ efforts, the 54-year-old worker was freed, though injured, and transported by an EKAV ambulance.
