The 50-year-old principal of the 2nd Junior High School of Ilioupoli passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest outside a local elementary school last Tuesday (September 22).
It should be noted that the woman was transported to the “Red Cross” hospital in critical condition, following the immediate response of bystanders, the elementary school’s nurse, and the National Ambulance Service (EKAV), who began cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
The EKAB paramedics continued their efforts without interruption throughout the transport, and at the hospital, doctors initially managed to revive her, as she had arrived with no vital signs.
Despite the efforts of the medical staff, the 50-year-old woman’s condition remained extremely critical, and she ultimately passed away.
The unfortunate woman had collapsed on the street outside the school complex; the circumstances leading to the cardiac arrest are currently under investigation.
