A fire broke out this morning, under circumstances that remain unknown at this time, in the Xiropigado area of Mandra.
According to initial reports, the fire started in low vegetation, and thick black smoke has risen from the site, which is visible from the surrounding area.
Other reports indicate that the fire is also burning trash that was at the site.

Thirty firefighters, one team of foot patrols from the 1st EMODE, and 12 vehicles have been deployed to extinguish the fire.
In addition, the Municipality of Mandra-Eidyllia and the Municipality of Aspropyrgos are assisting the Fire Department with water tankers, and the Western Attica Subregional Authority has provided heavy equipment.
