Elpis Hospital issued a statement regarding the death of Giorgos Mazonakis, who passed away at the age of 54 on Wednesday afternoon (September 9).
According to the “Elpis” announcement, the singer arrived at the hospital at 4:45 p.m. in an EKAB ambulance, not breathing and with no pulse.

CPR was performed on him there according to protocol, but to no avail. His death was officially confirmed at 5:40 p.m.

“On September 9, 2026, at 4:45 p.m., an EKAB ambulance transported George Mazonakis, born in 1972.

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation was performed according to protocol, but was unsuccessful. The official time of death was 5:40 p.m.
