A dramatic escape by a dangerous criminal took place from the Serres Hospital when his accomplices, dressed as police officers, reportedly stormed the premises, disarmed the police officers escorting him, and freed him.
Shortly after 11 p.m., the detainee felt unwell and, according to what he told the police, was taken to Serres Hospital for an examination.
There, however, his accomplices were waiting for him, dressed as officers from the protective detail.
They disarmed the officers and took the detainee
The accomplices reportedly disarmed the police officers who were with the detainee, even taking their weapons.
They then took the prisoner and fled the hospital.
Since the escape, the Greek Police have been conducting a manhunt to locate both the prisoner and his accomplices.
The inmate is described as a violent criminal and, according to reports, has previously fired a gun in broad daylight in Thessaloniki.
The Hellenic Police’s investigation is in full swing to locate him and the other perpetrators. According to reports, a car with fake license plates was located, which the inmate and his accomplices likely used to escape.
