A 10-month-old baby is fighting for his life at a hospital in Athens after being rushed there overnight by air ambulance from Rhodes.

According to reports, the infant was taken to Rhodes Hospital shortly after 11 p.m. on Thursday after choking on food.
The baby arrived at the emergency room in extremely critical condition. The doctors on duty sprang into action immediately and, after a great deal of effort, managed to remove the piece of food that had become lodged in the baby’s throat.
Despite the medical staff’s immediate actions, his condition remained critical.

For this reason, the National Ambulance Service (EKAV) was immediately mobilized, and his emergency airlift to a hospital in Athens was arranged.
