An accident involving a child about 10 years old in Neda prompted a major response from the authorities, as it brought back memories of the tragedy that shook the area 15 monthsin which a four-year-old lost his life.
According to reports, the child slipped while walking on a trail in the area and fell into a ravine more than 25 meters deep, according to Patrisnews.

The incident prompted an immediate response from the relevant authorities, followed by an operation to reach and rescue the child from the site of the fall. The circumstances surrounding the accident remain unknown at this time and are being investigated by the relevant authorities.
The child was taken to Kalamata Hospital, where he is being treated, and further information regarding his condition is expected.
This latest incident takes on even greater significance, as it comes approximately 15 months after the tragedy of May 2025, when a four-year-old boy lost his life at the same spot, plunging the local community—and beyond—into mourning.
