Police authorities arrested a 37-year-old German tourist following a complaint of damage to a hotel room in a tourist area of Rhodes. According to reports, the damage caused to the room where he was staying is estimated by the hotel to be approximately 9,190 euros.

The incident occurred on the evening of July 5, 2026, while the 37-year-old was at the hotel bar. According to dimokratiki.gr, the foreign national, who was reportedly under the influence of alcohol, caused disturbances with his behavior toward the other customers in the bar.

Hotel staff intervened to restore order, and the 37-year-old was escorted to his room, to prevent further tension in the hotel’s common areas.

A short time later, according to the complaint, the 37-year-old allegedly caused extensive damage to furniture and items inside the room where he was staying.

That same evening, a hotel employee filed a complaint against him for damage to property.

Following the complaint, police officers responded immediately and arrested the 37-year-old on the spot. Charges were filed against him, and he was subsequently brought before the Public Prosecutor.
