According to the official statement from the Hellenic Police, following an investigation into intelligence reports and covert surveillance, it was determined that the two suspects were allegedly trafficking narcotics together. In fact, they were using a parked private vehicle as a “stash,” inside which they were hiding a large quantity of drugs.

Also seized were 36 non-prescription drug and pharmaceutical tablets, 65,900 euros and 125 U.S. dollars—which, according to the Hellenic Police, were proceeds from drug trafficking—as well as three cell phones, precision scales, and packaging materials.
The two arrested individuals are being taken to the Syros Public Prosecutor’s Office, while this operation is part of the special initiatives by the South Aegean police services to combat drug trafficking and distribution.
