A boat carrying approximately 33 foreign nationals was located on Saturday in the sea area 16 miles south of Gavdos, according to the Coast Guard.
The migrants were rescued by a passing tanker flying the Marshall Islands flag.
They were later transported to the port of Gavdos.
Northwesterly winds of 4–5 Beaufort are blowing in the area.
