The tragedy that has shaken Livadeia and plunged an entire family into mourning is heartbreaking. Today, at Distomo Beach, relatives, friends, and residents will say their final “goodbye” to the 35-year-old mother, who lost her life just a few hours after the birth of her second child.

She leaves behind a heartbroken husband, an eight-year-old child who cannot comprehend the loss of his mother, and a newborn baby who will never know his mother’s embrace.

“I took my wife to give birth, and I never brought her back. I’m a mess; what happened to me is unimaginable, and at the same time, I’m trying to find answers about her death,” says the inconsolable husband of the unfortunate woman to protothema.gr, as he prepares to lay her to rest, all while trying to understand how a moment of joy turned into an unspeakable tragedy.

The 35-year-old had gone to Livadeia Hospital to give birth to her second child. A few hours after giving birth, she suffered serious complications, and it was deemed necessary to transfer her to Thriassio Hospital. Despite the doctors’ efforts, her condition deteriorated rapidly, and she passed away.

Now, her husband is left to cope with an unimaginable loss, raise their two children on his own, and, at the same time, seek answers regarding the circumstances under which the love of his life was lost.

The local community remains shaken by this tragic turn of events, and today’s final farewell is expected to take place amid deep sorrow.
