Two brothers are alleged to have buried their mother in the garden of their home after she died, according to a complaint filed by their third brother.
According to information from ilialive.gr, the three siblings lived in their family home with their mother, who was dealing with health issues. Another brother lives in Athens.

Their 79-year-old mother passed away, most likely on Monday, and two of the siblings took it upon themselves to bury her in the garden of their home, as they stated they could not afford the cost of a proper funeral, as the third brother reported to the Ilida Criminal Investigation Department on Tuesday evening.
The third brother apparently objected to this decision, but was unable to change his two brothers’ minds.
For this reason, he decided to file a complaint with the authorities, in the hope that his mother would have a proper funeral and be buried in a cemetery.
Police officers went to the scene; the area is being secured, and it was decided that the 79-year-old woman would be exhumed from the garden in the presence of a medical examiner this morning.
